What is a Pentecostal Church?
Pastor's Blog
September 19, 2011

What does it mean to be a Pentecostal church? It is amazing to me how this have become one of the most debated subjects in the Modern Day Christendom. In Act 2 when the Holy Ghost came down to earth and filled those in the first church, the event was an event that unified the church in a way that nothing else could have. Yet to day there is division over this second act of grace. On one side you have those that believe that the full power of the Holy Ghost and many of the gifts such as specking in tongues died with the Apostle. Other argues that Pentecost did not end because Act never ended (which I must admit is the group that I am in).  Though I do not want to argue semantics here, I want to try to look at what the scripture says about Pentecost.

What Ministry would Jesus be Doing Today?
Pastor's Blog
September 13, 2011

As I thought about that I realized that many of the ministry that we do in the church today are ministry that benefit us, the church. We have ministry with a great deal of fellowship, and I like most of you enjoy fellowship and believe that it is needful in the church. But when our idea of ministry is eating a pot –luck diner than we have a misconception about what true ministry really is all about. Now before I make someone angry with me let me stop and say that there is a place for fellowship and there are those in the church that do a great job of making sure that the church comes together in fellowship to create a community of believers. The trouble is when that is the only thing that the church is doing then we have missed the call that God has for us.
